Newborn care
Routine care of the newborn at East Dallas Birth & Wellness begins immediately after birth and continues until 28 days. A full, comprehensive exam is performed before going home, then routine physical exams are performed at 2-3 days and 2 weeks to assess growth and development. The state mandated newborn screening is offered in-office by the midwife or arrangements made to another provider.
